LaughingStock Licensing Inc.

LaughingStock Licensing Inc. is the owner of the HERMAN copyright and trademark. It is the sole global rights manager of the comic.

The company was established in 1995 by creators Jim Unger (HERMAN®) and David Waisglass (FARCUS®) to publish, license, and manage their popular newspaper comic features — and provide services to other artists' brands as well.

Upon his passing in 2012, Unger bequeathed his original drawings to his close friend and business partner Waisglass. These early drawings are now available. Both HERMAN and FARCUS are currently distributed to newspapers by Andrews McMeel Universal
